Getting professional looking shots from a moving car can bring a lot of production value to your low-budget indie film. DitoGear, a provider of cutting-edge motion control equipment, just announced their new VibraFreek, a vibration dampening system for car cinematography that lets you capture smooth shots from a moving vehicle.

The VibraFreek functions as a supplementary rig for safely mounting and operating gimbal stabilizers like the DJI Ronin or Freefly Systems MōVI on your moving car. The main feature of the VibraFreek is its vibration dampening arm, which reduces low and high frequency vibrations, giving you smooth and safe operation of your mounted gimbal/camera system, even at fast speeds. There’s also an X/Y platform (sold separately) that improves the operation of the system when shooting in rough environments like extreme speeds, wind, or rough terrain. The VibraFreek arm can be mounted and adjusted on virtually any moving vehicle.

The VibraFreek is designed as a supplementary rig for safely mounting and using gimbal stabilizers.

“We’re very excited because VibraFreek bridges the gap between the possibilities of today’s popular gimbal stabilizers and very expensive automotive cinematography rigs,” says DitoGear Partner, Patryk Kizny. “We designed and engineered an efficient system that enables cinematographers and all non-specialized production studios to shoot high-end automotive footage at a very affordable budget.”

The first production batch of the VibraFreek will ship in late May. Pricing is as follows:

– VibraFreek Arm – $2,450

– VibraFreek complete system with Pillar Mount – $4,850

– VibraFreek complete system with Spider Mount – $2,850
